For those not into motorcycle history, the Indian Motorcycle Company used to be the largest motorcycle manufacturer before WWII with a fanatical following. The company failed to keep up with the times. Outdated tooling, poor development and quality, underpowered engines alienated even the greatest fans while its greatest competitor, Harley Davidson, won the hearts of riders. The Indian Motrocyle Company folded in 1953.
